BIOGRAPHY
Ingrid Arriaga is an art anthropologist and researcher attached to the Interdisciplinary Institute of Contemporary Anthropology (IIAC), part of the School of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences in Paris (EHESS). She has collaborated on cultural heritage projects, such as the Matho Museum, in Ladakh, India and the Asia-Pacific Unit of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Center in Paris. She has also taught courses in modern and contemporary Latin American art and Latin American cultural studies. Her ongoing doctoral research examines contemporary indigenous art in Mexico by exploring the social and symbolic networks of Wixárika (Huichol) art. Arriaga is currently responsible for exhibitions and museography at the Cultural Institute of Mexico in France.
