ACCESSIBILITY
The Fowler Museum at UCLA is committed to making Vital Matters accessible to the widest possible audiences. We have designed the site with accessibility in mind and aim to meet the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard.
In building the site, we have worked to provide descriptive alternative text for images, captions, and video transcripts; clear heading structure and navigation; keyboard access throughout; a skip-to-main-content link; and sufficient color contrast.
Our website is designed to work with modern assistive technologies, including screen readers, screen magnifiers, speech recognition software, and keyboard-only navigation.
Recommended setup
Because of the wide variety of operating systems, browsers, assistive technologies, and device configurations available today, experiences may vary across browsers and assistive technologies. While we make every effort to support commonly used ones, some combinations of software and devices may not provide the optimal experience. For the best experience, we recommend viewing Vital Matters in a recent version of Google Chrome on a desktop or laptop computer. Using the most current version of your browser helps ensure access to the latest accessibility features.
Reporting an issue
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we welcome your feedback. If you encounter a barrier or have a suggestion, please use our contact form and select “Accessibility Issue” as the reason for contact. We review these messages and will do our best to respond and address problems. Form can be accessed here: https://vitalmatters.fowler.ucla.edu/stay-connected
