Serving the Community: Museum Support Beyond Collecting Objects

Anuradha Vikram examines the role of museums in supporting socially engaged artists like Tanya Aguiñiga. She discusses how Aguiñiga's collective practice, AMBOS, redistributes resources to low-income women in Los Angeles; and raises questions about how institutions can expand their support beyond collecting objects to directly benefit the communities with which artists work.
