Connecting with Culture Bearers and Elders

Lazaro Arvizu Jr. talks about the privilege of being around cultural bearers from several communities from a young age. The privilege of interacting with culture bearers allowed Arvizu to hone in on his own cultural practice and to see that the path of education he wanted to take was heavily grounded in reconnecting through apprenticeships with elders. Arvizu elaborates on what connecting with elders can look like for young people.
