The Persistence of Shamanic Traditions in Ifugao

This video features Armand Camhol, a member of the Tuwali ethnolinguistic group of Ifugao, one of the three major ethnolinguistic groups in the region. Camhol is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in sociocultural anthropology, focusing on the continuation of shamanic traditions in Ifugao. His research explores how and why these practices have persisted for over 200 years, despite the long history of colonization and the spread of Christianity in the area.
