BIOGRAPHY
Ramy El-Etreby is a writer, performer, storyteller, and educator from Los Angeles, California. His writings have appeared in The Huffington Post, Queerty, KCET, and the award-winning blog Love Inshallah. His story, ”The Ride,” is featured in the groundbreaking anthology, Salaam, Love: American Muslim Men on Love, Sex, and Intimacy, and he developed this piece into a solo theater performance. El-Etreby works as a teaching artist at the Geffen Playhouse, Center Theatre Group, and Sharewell. He holds an M.A. in applied theater from the CUNY School of Professional Studies and is a VONA/Voices fellow. He has collaborated on creative projects in prisons, schools, museums, places of worship, riverbanks, forests, and other magical spaces.
